Tips for Getting Ranked

Maximize your chances of making the Top 10. Our editorial team shares the most common traits of successfully ranked blogs.

Publish Consistently

Blogs that publish on a regular schedule score higher on our consistency pillar. Whether it's weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, stick to a cadence your audience can rely on. Our data shows that blogs publishing at least twice per month rank significantly higher.

Focus on Quality

In-depth, well-researched content outperforms shallow posts every time. Our content quality score evaluates originality, depth, accuracy, and readability. Aim for comprehensive articles that genuinely help your readers solve problems or learn something new.

Build Your Audience

A growing, engaged audience signals that your content resonates. Focus on building genuine readership through email newsletters, social media presence, and community building. We measure audience engagement quality, not just raw numbers.

Engage With Readers

Blogs that foster conversation rank higher. Respond to comments, encourage discussion, and create content that invites reader participation. Two-way engagement demonstrates that your blog is a living community, not just a broadcast channel.

Optimize for SEO

Strong SEO foundations contribute to your authority score. Use descriptive titles, proper heading hierarchy, meta descriptions, and structured data. Blogs with solid technical SEO tend to have higher domain authority, which directly impacts our rankings.

Be Original

Unique perspectives and original insights set top blogs apart from the crowd. Avoid regurgitating content found elsewhere. Share your own experiences, conduct original research, or offer a distinctive angle that readers can't find anywhere else.

Submission Questions

Our editorial team reviews submissions within 2-4 weeks. High-volume periods may take slightly longer. You'll receive an email notification once your submission has been evaluated.
No. Submitting a blog for review is completely free. TopTenBlogs rankings are based on merit and data, not payment. We never accept paid placements in our rankings.
Your blog should have a consistent publishing history (at least 6 months active), original content, and genuine audience engagement. We evaluate all four pillars: authority metrics, audience engagement, content quality, and consistency. Read our full methodology for details.
Yes! Anyone can nominate a blog for ranking on TopTenBlogs. You don't have to be the blog owner or author. Many of our top-ranked blogs were initially submitted by enthusiastic readers who wanted to see their favorite creators recognized. Simply leave the "I am the owner" checkbox unchecked and fill in the rest of the form.
Not making the Top 10 doesn't mean your blog isn't great. Our rankings are highly competitive, and we can only feature ten blogs per category. We provide feedback on where your blog scored well and areas for improvement so you can strengthen your submission for next time. Many currently ranked blogs didn't make it on their first submission.
Absolutely. We encourage bloggers to resubmit after 90 days. This gives you time to implement improvements based on any feedback received. Many of our currently ranked blogs made it on their second or third submission after making meaningful improvements to their content and engagement. There is no limit on the number of times you can resubmit.
